WHAT: The Philip Johnson Glass House

WHERE: New Canaan, Connecticut

Historic house museum, The Glass house (or Johnson House), was built in 1949 and designed by Philip Johnson to be his own residence. A minimal and geometric structure featuring transparency and reflections of the nature that surrounds it. The main structure features a kitchen, dining room, living room, sleeping area located in the glass enclosed room, with a brick cylinder enclosing the bathroom. A guest house, pool, gallery, painting gallery, sculpture gallery, and study are all individual structures scattered amongst the property.
